Luxury Havana Day Spa Options

Most of the large high-end hotels in Havana have a gym and a spa department, and most offer treatments to anyone, not just hotel guests.

So, if you long for a massage, a facial, or a day with your feet up poolside after exploring the hot city, this is for you.

1. Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski Havana Day Spa

My personal favorite so far is to spend a few hours in the spa on the 6th floor of Manzana Kempinski Hotel, followed by a poolside sunbed, lunch, and a glass of bubbles.

The day spa at the Manzana Kempinski has a relaxation area, an indoor pool, and a hair salon. Here, you can get a manicure and pedicure, as well as traditional massages and facials.

If you book a treatment, you can also use the gym, which has amazing views of the city.

If you request it beforehand, you can combine this with a day pass to the pool at the Manzana Kempinski rooftop as long as there is a vacancy.

Enjoy the rest of the after-spa day under a parasol high above the city rumble, tended to by the bar and restaurant staff, all the way into the sunset.

2. Iberostar Grand Packard Havana Day Spa

The Iberostar Grand Packard at the end of the Prado has a magnificent view of the fortresses of Havana and the Malecon from its open pool floor.

Whether you just want to visit the day spa, stay here, or visit for lunch or dinner, this is a top-notch oasis over the city noise and sizzling summer heat.

The Iberostar Grand Packard spa section has a sauna and hydro massage (jacuzzi) area, a beauty salon, a heated pool, and a variety of massages and treatments.

Everything is right on top of Havana Bay, next to the Malecon, and only a few minutes’ walk from the Capitolio, Old, and Central Havana.

The hotel even welcomes you with a red carpet at the entrance!

The second one is a different Havana hotel pool, at night, with lights from the pool and the roof, and the night city outside the terrace area.

3. Iberostar Parque Central Havana Day Spa

The Iberostar Parque Central Hotel is situated right next to Parque Central on the border between Old and Central Havana. I often come here for lunch or a day pass by the pool.

From the rooftop restaurant, bar, and pool area, you can enjoy a stunning view of the Prado, the Parque Central, the Grand Theater, and the Capitolio!

The Iberostar Parque Central spa offers a large variety of massages, including couples massages and foot massages.

There is also a beauty salon and a small gym on-site if you need to keep up the holiday shape!

Combine your spa day with a day pass at the pool, too (where the restaurant is also located), or just stay for a late lunch to collect yourself after your spa day.

📍 EpicNomadLife Tip: My top recommendation for a tour in Havana is the Classic American Car tour. It is “touristy”, but still a great way to get an overview of the city in style!

4. Royalton Havana Paseo Del Prado Day Spa

Opposite the Iberostar Grand Packard is another high-end Havana hotel that offers a day (or a stay) of elegant luxury for your Havana holiday.

The Royalton Havana Paseo Del Prado is practically situated on the Malecon. You can peek over the railings to see the road below. I sometimes go here for one night just to have two days at the poolside in this delicate hotel.

From your sunbed, you can see the Atlantic Ocean and the Vedado skyline from the poolside lounge.

The Rotyalton Paseo Del Prado reopened in March 2022, and everything is still new and shiny. The hotel home page claims to be a “masterpiece of luxury,” and I am inclined to agree.

The spa department offers stunning panoramic views of the sea while you have your treatments. In addition to traditional face and massage treatments, they also have a hammam (and a gym, if you feel sporty).

Spa Day At Corpus Day Spa

While the pandemic held the world at gunpoint, an open spa or wellness center where you can just hang out, have drinks poolside, and relax was hard to find.

So when I heard about this little local gem outside of the Vedado city district, I checked out their home page. Although they do not have a swimming pool or magnificent views, they seem to know what they are doing.

The spa menu offers several different massages and renowned treatments, such as hydra facials—just what grown-up ladies need.

Hydrafacial Treatment For Grown-Up Ladies

From the menu, I decided that although I really could use a massage, the first on my list after three months in the Caribbean sun will have to be a moisturizing hydrafacial rescue treatment.

Although the venue is less luxurious than many large hotel spas around, the quality of the treatment and the technical equipment are still up to par in this small salon.

After about an hour of pampering with a wash and mask and a little massage, ultrasound, and different equipment, my face is glowing with serums and creams and lots of vitamins!

Feeling refreshed, I take a moment in the salon while I wait for my taxi and enjoy a nice cup of herbal tea with honey before I need to face the outside again.

A magic little treat mid-pandemic in Havana!

Day Pass In Havana Luxury Hotels

Several large hotels in Havana (and in other Cuban destinations) offer a pasa dia, a day pass, to spend the day at their poolside, even if you are not a guest at the hotel.

The day pass includes access to hotel pools and other amenities, but it does not include spa treatments. You must book those separately.

Some places only offer a pass if you book a spa treatment; others offer a day pass if the hotel is not fully booked.

These are four great Havana day spa options close to the old city, within walking distance of “everything” – and some even with incredible views!

Wrap-Up Havana Day Spa

Whether or not you are staying at a high-end hotel in the capital of Cuba, you can book a treatment, spa day, or just a day pass in the pleasure and pool areas in a lot of luxury hotels in Havana.

Many of the high-end hotels also have restaurants connected to the in-house pools, often on a rooftop terrace with amazing views of Havana.

As I usually stay in a casa particular in the middle of busy and noisy Old Havana, I try to “escape” now and then to one of these oases in the city for some zen quality time.

Highly recommend!

Make sure you also do a walking tour of the UNESCO-protected historic city of Havana and a Classic Car Tour of the greater capital area.
